Artist Draws Honest Illustrations, Which Depict Everyday Candid Life For Women
Little Rock Illustrator Sally Nixon began the project titled “365,” in where she promised herself to create one illustration daily for a year. Although sometimes it is difficult to find inspiration, Sally drew ideas from her everyday life, her routine and the candid moments of women, which are rarely captured by staged selfies and social media.
Nixon’s illustrations depict ordinary life, from brushing your teeth, to walking around the house without pants to having a girl’s night out.
“They don’t have perfect bodies or perfect habits and that makes them relatable,” she tells to TL Andrews. “The scenes I create around them are everyday places: a bathroom, a restaurant, a messy bedroom. However, my goal with each drawing is to elevate the seemingly mundane to something special.”
You can find her work in her Etsy shop.
